"Live Life Now"

A dear friend from our church is in the Hospital and family is gathering around them. We as a church are praying for healing but we can't say they will return home from this, or whether God will give ultimate healing by taking our friend home to Him. There is 'uncertainty' about tomorrow.
John Lennon was quoted as saying..."life happens while your busy living life." I believe that we say or think, "I will do, such and such, when I can get some time / 'someday'." Maybe instead you and I need to take the time to say the things that need to be said and do those things you are hoping to do 'Someday' now! The Bible says, "Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day will bring forth," [Proverbs 27:1]; how about these words from James, "Come now, you who say,"Today or tomorrow, we shall go to such and such and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit." Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a while and then vanishes away." [James 4: 13 and 14].
You and I are so busy with each day, 'living life' / 'getting by', that we miss seeing that while we are busy doing life, life is happening all around us. Don't miss this life today, while your caught up in the business of stuff.
“Two little lines I heard one day,
Traveling along life’s busy way;
Bringing conviction to my heart,
And from my mind would not depart;
Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.

Only one life, yes only one,
Soon will its fleeting hours be done;
Then, in ‘that day’ my Lord to meet,
And stand before His Judgement seat;
Only one life,’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.

Only one life, the still small voice,
Gently pleads for a better choice
Bidding me selfish aims to leave,
And to God’s holy will to cleave;
Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.

Only one life, a few brief years,
Each with its burdens, hopes, and fears;
Each with its clays I must fulfill,
living for self or in His will;
Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.

When this bright world would tempt me sore,
When Satan would a victory score;
When self would seek to have its way,
Then help me Lord with joy to say;
Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.

Give me Father, a purpose deep,
In joy or sorrow Thy word to keep;
Faithful and true what e’er the strife,
Pleasing Thee in my daily life;
Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.

Oh let my love with fervor burn,
And from the world now let me turn;
Living for Thee, and Thee alone,
Bringing Thee pleasure on Thy throne;
Only one life, “twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.

Only one life, yes only one,
Now let me say,”Thy will be done”;
And when at last I’ll hear the call,
I know I’ll say “twas worth it all”;
Only one life,’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last. ”

— extra stanza —

Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.
And when I am dying, how happy I’ll be,
If the lamp of my life has been burned out for Thee.”
[C.T Studd]

That all I have to say really, Just thought I would say it to you now and not let this day pass without saying,
"God loves you, He always has, and He always will."

Thank you and I love you too!
